Don’t pitch me investment.
It’s like asking someone to marry you with a pickup line. Pitch me your vision, the problem, your team, your traction. That is what might grab me and want to chat. Investment may come later. Ask to share more or ask for feedback.
Do some research.
It would take 3 seconds to see I’m climate focused. Don’t waste you’re time on someone who isn’t a fit. Waste for me too. It also helps connect. “Hey Mick, great to see you invested in Phoenix Hydrogen.”
Tell me where you’re at.
Give me something to suggest where you are between idea and unicorn. Sure, pre-seed is a sign but again it’s not a good one. Tell me customers, DAU, revenue. Maybe growth but 49% growth from $100 is not much.
